East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes for U.S. Graduate Students (EAPSI)

EAPSI is an annual program that introduces U. S. graduate students to science and engineering research in East Asia and Pacific region, and initiates scientific relationships that will enable future collaborating with foreign counterparts. EAPSI provides U.S. graduate students in science and engineering. Seven locations currently partner with NSF in the program: Australia, China, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, and Taiwan.
Each year, about 35-40 students will conduct research in China. The Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) through the China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC) will identify host institutions for U. S. participants; coordinate the orientation and Chinese language courses. For further information about EAPSI participants, please go to http://nsfsi.org/awardee_list_.
